Barcelona's International Convention Center (CCIB) comprises the Convention Center and the Forum Auditorium, which are linked by a subterranean avenue.  They are both fitted with state-of-the-art facilities in a highly versatile space that is beautifully integrated into the city's seafront: Diagonal Mar.

How to get to the congress venue from the airport: 

On arrival at Barcelona’s El Prat airport, you have the following options to get to the congress venue:

By bus: Take the Aerobus in front of your arrival terminal (there are buses available in both T1 and T2 terminals) and get off at Plaça Catalunya (Barcelona). The trip takes approximately 30 minutes, and buses run every 15 minutes from 05:30a.m. to 12:30a.m. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. If you take the Aerobus back to the airport, remember to check that you are taking the bus corresponding to your departing terminal. Once you are at Plaça Catalunya you have to take the metro (L1) to Urquinaona station. Once you are in the Urquinaona station, take the metro (L4) to El Maresme- Forum station.

By train: The train service actually operates from T2 terminal at the Renfe (Cercanías/Rodalies) suburban train station. If you come from T1 there is a shuttle bus service departing in accordance with train arrival times and linking the two terminals every 6 or 7 minutes, the journey lasts approximately 10 minutes. Once you are in the airport train station, take the train from the airport and get off at Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona). The trip takes approximately 30 minutes (airport to Passeig de Gràcia station), and trains run every 30 minutes from 05:08 a.m. to 11:07 p.m. From there Passeig de Gràcia railway station, you have to take the metro (L4) to El Maresme- Forum station.

By taxi: Taxis in Barcelona are black and yellow. They may be ordered by phone, found at authorised taxi stands or flagged down in the street. Please always check that the meter is running. Taxis must usually be paid in cash although some accept credit cards. Rates vary depending on the time of the day (T1 rate for night-time and weekend/public holidays, and T2 rate for day-time journeys).

How to get to the congress venue and move around the city:

Located in Diagonal Mar, is integrated in the new coastal seafront of Barcelona, part of the new technological and business district known as "Barcelona 22@", one of the more developed urban areas of the city.

CCIB venue is extremely well connected with the rest of the city (by metro: Yellow line (L4), the metro station is ‘El Maresme- Fòrum’) and with the airport (see transportation section below).

In Barcelona, the weather is pleasant for most of the year and in June temperatures fluctuates around 20/24ºC which makes it great to explore it out walking.

Public transport tickets can be used both for bus, metro or tram, within a period of 1 hour and 15 minutes. You can buy the tickets at the metro stations or at the tourist offices located in the city centre. For more information on public transport please click the following link:
